Ryanair carry-on and personal item size

All our fares include one small personal bag which can be brought on board, such as a handbag or laptop bag (40 x 30 x 20 cm), which must fit under the seat in front of you.

Inches converted from cm (Ryanair publishes cm only). No weight limit stated. Ryanair does not say whether wheels/handles count; treat the 40x30x20 sizer as an outer limit. The fare-bundle article writes the same bag as '40x20x30cm' (same numbers, different order). Size was raised from 40x20x25 cm to 40x30x20 cm in summer 2025 (news reports, July 2025).

Weight limit: 22 lb (10 kg).

Priority & 2 Cabin Bags: This allows you to carry a small personal bag (40 x 30 x 20 cm), which must fit under the seat in front of you and a 10kg bag (55x40x20cm) onboard, to be stored in the overhead locker.

Inches converted. Only with Priority & 2 Cabin Bags or a bundle that includes it. Gate rule: 'If your small bag or 10kg cabin bag does not fit in the baggage sizers, it will be refused at the boarding gate, or where available, placed in the hold of the aircraft for a fee at the level set out in our Regulations.' Wheels/handles not addressed.
